Sell Ores Trading & Gifting

How the player-to-player exchange actually works on Floor 5 and above.

Sell Ores Trading, Gifting & Player-to-Player Exchange

Sell Ores does not run a full Roblox marketplace trading system, but the developers added a Trade Hub on Floor 5 that lets you swap duplicate ores and pets with other players. This page walks through what you can trade, what the value tiers look like, and the safest way to negotiate a fair exchange. If you are still on Floor 1, the Getting Started guide is a better starting point.

What the Trade Hub actually does

The Trade Hub sits in the back-left corner of Floor 5. It is a large green-stone structure with two NPC clerks. Walk up to either one and press E to open the trade window. The window shows your offer on the left and the other player’s offer on the right. Both players have to confirm before the trade locks in.

You can trade:

  • Duplicate Mythic Ores ?Gargantuan, Voidshard, Solarite.
  • Mega-Tier Ores ?Fossil, Magma.
  • Prismatic Ores ?any roll.
  • Common pets from S and A tier ?Devil’s Snacc, Cosmic Ram, Infernal Cat, Lava Wolf.
  • Growth Gems ?Small, Medium, Devil’s.

You cannot trade:

  • Cash ?direct Cash swaps are blocked.
  • Time Skips ?purchased with Robux only, non-tradeable.
  • Common and Rare Ores ?the developers did not wire them into the Trade Hub.
  • Pets below A tier ?too easy to farm, the trade would clog the Hub.

Value tiers for safe trades

The Trade Hub does not show a price chart. The community has settled on these rough tiers over the August 2026 patch cycle:

  • S tier ?Ascended Ores (any). Roughly equivalent to 3 baseline Mythics.
  • A tier ?Mythic baseline (Gargantuan, Voidshard, Solarite). 1:1 with another Mythic baseline.
  • B tier ?Mega-Tier Ores (Fossil, Magma). 2:1 against a Mythic baseline.
  • C tier ?Prismatic Ores. 1 Prismatic = 1 Mythic if the multiplier is 2x or higher.
  • Pet tier ?S-tier pets trade 1:1 against any Mythic baseline. A-tier pets need 2:1.

Always compare the rolled multiplier on a Prismatic before you accept it. A 1.5x Prismatic is worth significantly less than a 4x Prismatic.

How to negotiate without getting scammed

  1. Inspect first. Use the View button on the other player’s offer to confirm the tier and the multiplier.
  2. Lock value in writing. If you are trading in the public Discord, screenshot the offer before you both click Confirm.
  3. Use the trade window. All official trades happen through the in-game Trade Hub. Discord negotiations are fine for setting up the trade, but the actual exchange happens in-game.
  4. Walk away from pressure. If the other player rushes you, the trade is almost always bad. The Hub has no cooldown ?you can take your time.
  5. Report scammers. Use the in-game Report button if a player tries to reverse a confirmed trade.

The Updates Hub tracks every change to the Trade Hub rules, including the August 22 balance patch that rebalanced trade ratios.

Gifting versus trading

Gifting is a one-way transfer. The recipient gets the item without giving anything back. You can gift:

  • Ores ?any tier.
  • Pets ?any tier.
  • Growth Gems ?any size.

You cannot gift:

  • Cash.
  • Time Skips.
  • Anything purchased with Robux.

Gifting uses the same Trade Hub NPC. Pick “Gift” instead of “Trade” in the dialog. The recipient does not need to be online at the time ?the gift lands in their inventory next time they log in.

Trading etiquette on Discord

The community has a dedicated #trades channel on the official Discord server. House rules:

  • Use the WTT / WTB format. “WTT 2x Gargantuan for 1x Voidshard” is the standard format.
  • Always post a screenshot of the trade window before confirming.
  • Never trade outside the official Trade Hub. Side-trades are not protected.
  • Mid-tier trades (1 Mega for 1 Mythic) are usually declined ?the community expects at least a 1.5x return.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Can you trade Cash in Sell Ores?

No. Direct Cash swaps are blocked. The Trade Hub only handles Ores, Mega-Tier Ores, Prismatic Ores, A and S tier Pets, and Growth Gems.

Where is the Trade Hub?

Back-left corner of Floor 5, inside a green-stone structure with two NPC clerks. Press E on either NPC to open the trade window.

Can I trade with someone offline?

No. Both players need to be online and standing at the Trade Hub. Gifts can be sent to offline players and land in their inventory on next login.

What is the rarest tradeable item?

Ascended Ores. They trade 1:3 against baseline Mythics. The community treats them as the apex tradeable.

Are trades reversible?

No. Once both players click Confirm, the trade locks in. The developers added a confirmation timer to prevent button-mash scams, but after that timer expires the trade is final.
