Sell Ores Diary Rewards Guide
Daily Cash, starter ores and the weekly gem — claimed on a 24-hour clock.
Diary Rewards are the quiet progression system most new Sell Ores players forget after the tutorial. The panel drips Cash, Iron Ore, Amber Ore and occasional extra pieces on a 24-hour reset, with a Small Growth Gem showing up on a roughly weekly cadence. None of it is as flashy as a Mythic roll, but a week of claims is enough to bankroll Floor 2 without burning your first code bundle on junk rolls.
The 15 August 2026 how-to-play patch reworked the Diary so the claim button is visible after the tutorial instead of buried behind a locked tab. If you still cannot see it, finish the guided objectives and reopen the UI — the same lock that hides the code box also hid Diary for a lot of day-one accounts. Use the Diary Timer when you want a countdown instead of guessing the reset.
What the Diary actually drops
Typical daily bundle in the live August 2026 build:
- 100–500 Cash — small, but it stacks. Seven claims is a Floor 2 unlock buffer if you do not waste it on Common rolls.
- Iron Ore and Amber Ore — starter Rares you can slot immediately. Place them the same session; an unplaced Diary ore is just a clogged inventory tile.
- Extra ores — Copper or Coal on early days, better pieces once you have climbed a Floor.
- Small Growth Gem (weekly) — the real prize. Save it for a filled base, not a three-slot Floor 1. The shop copy costs $500,000 on the Gears page, so a free weekly gem is the best Diary hit you will see.
Diary does not drop Time Skips. Those still come from promo codes on the Active Codes list and from the Group Rewards sign behind the Roll machine.
How to claim without missing a day
- Launch Sell Ores and finish loading your base. The Diary button sits with the other HUD panels, not inside Settings.
- Open Diary and press Claim on every ready row. There is no benefit to letting a ready reward sit; the next timer does not start until you collect.
- Place any ores you received into empty slots before you roll new ones. Diary Iron is a free Rare — treat it like a roll you did not pay for.
- If a Small Growth Gem landed, park it until Drill and Drones are worth bursting. The Drones page explains why an empty base wastes a gem.
- Set a reminder from the Diary Timer. The reset is 24 hours from the claim, not midnight UTC, so your clock is personal.
Mobile players should rotate to landscape if the claim button clips behind the Roblox chat. The reward still exists; the tap target is just small.
How Diary fits the first week
Day one: tutorial, then codes, then Diary, then your first Common slots. That order is also the Getting Started checklist. Skipping Diary to chase a lucky Mythic roll is how accounts stall at 8,000 Cash with no Floor 2.
Days two to four: keep claiming. Put the Cash into Drill, not into extra rolls, until you hit the 15,000 buffer in Beginner Strategy. Diary Iron and Amber cover the Rare slots so you are not paying roll cost for the same ores.
Day seven: the weekly gem. If Floor 3 is open and Drones are running, pop it. If you are still on Floor 1, hold the gem. A 2x burst on three Common slots is a rounding error; the same gem on a full Floor 4 base is real Cash.
Diary versus codes versus group skip
Three free systems, three jobs:
- Diary — slow, reliable, daily. Best for ores and the weekly gem.
- Promo codes — lumpy. RELEASE is 500 Cash, EXPANSION is another Small Growth Gem, PETFUSION is a Devil’s gem, Time Skip codes are 6h or 24h. See the Codes Hub.
- Group sign — one extra Time Skip after you join The Ore Drillers group and like the game. Walkthrough is on Group Rewards.
You can use all three on the same account. None of them replace Drill upgrades.
Mistakes
- Letting a ready claim sit for two days because you thought the timer stacked. It does not.
- Selling Diary Iron instead of placing it. You already own the ore; processing it is free profit.
- Spending the weekly gem the second it lands on an empty base.
- Confusing Diary with the Fuser. Diary does not fuse Pets or Mega Ores — that is Pet Fusion.
- Assuming Diary Cash will buy Crystal Coating. Shop prices on Gears are in the millions to trillions; Diary is a starter hose, not an endgame printer.
What to read next
Keep the Diary Timer bookmarked next to Money Making. When the weekly gem lands, check Gears so you do not buy a duplicate Small Growth Gem for $500,000 the same afternoon.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How often do Sell Ores Diary Rewards reset?
Every 24 hours from the moment you claim, not at a global midnight. The [Diary Timer](/tools/diary-timer/) follows that personal cadence.
What is the best Diary drop?
The weekly Small Growth Gem. Daily Cash and Iron/Amber are the consistent fillers that pay for Floor 2.
Can I claim Diary before finishing the tutorial?
Usually no. The 15 August patch still expects the tutorial done first, the same way the code box stays locked.
Does Diary give Time Skips?
No. Time Skips come from codes such as SORRYFORDATA and from the [Group Rewards](/codes/group-rewards/) sign.
Should I save Diary ores or sell them raw?
Place and process them. Diary Iron and Amber are free Rare slots; selling the unprocessed ore throws away Drill value.
